Lynn Creek Park – Grand Prairie

Lynn Creek Park is a day-use facility that is open from March through September. The park is managed by the city of Grand Prairie. Lynn Creek is located along the northwest corner of Joe Pool Lake and is accessed from Lake Ridge Parkway. Within the park’s 785 acres you can find a swimming area with a beach, a playground, a concession stand, two boat ramps, group, and single-use picnic sites, and a sand volleyball court. Lynn Creek Park annually hosts the holiday light display “Prairie Lights.” The event begins after Thanksgiving and runs through New Year’s Eve.

Event Description: Welcome to Prairie Lights! Prairie Lights is the premier holiday light park in Texas located at Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The Lights
Upon arriving at the entrance of Prairie Lights, you will be dazzled with 4 million lights set along 2 miles of path. Hundreds of ALL-NEW displays in shapes of all kinds line and arch over the roads. Halfway through the drive, stop at Holiday Village where you will find food, gifts, Santa, a brand-new indoor Holiday Show, and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Once back in your vehicle, the second half of the drive ends with the very animated light tunnel – the perfect finale to a night you will never forget!

Holiday Village
Under a GIANT tent enjoy pictures with Santa, concessions, a gift shop, and our two additional attractions. Concessions sold include hot cocoa, apple cider, coffee, and a variety of seasonal food like funnel cakes, kettle corn and more.

Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Thru Forest
At Holiday Village take a stroll through the trees that will be lit up with tens of thousands of lights. With an amazing walk-through tunnel of lights and an animated Christmas tree, this attraction is sure to have everyone saying WOW!

Photos with Santa
Santa will be at Holiday Village every night through December 23rd listening to holiday wishes and taking pictures with the kids. On December 24th Santa must return to the North Pole to pick up all the presents and deliver them to homes all around the world.
